Top One Limo — Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about Top One Limo: booking, pricing, airport runs, weddings, payment, insurance. Owner-operated GTA chauffeur service.
Booking & Communication
How do I book a ride with Top One Limo? +
Text or call 416-666-6047 (WhatsApp same number) or email ali@toponelimo.ca. For new bookings, text is fastest — it gives both of us a written record of the date, time, addresses, and flight number if applicable. I confirm with a flat-rate quote within the hour during business hours. There's no booking app, no call centre, no chatbot — you reach me directly.
How much lead time do you need for a booking? +
For Pearson airport runs, 12 hours' notice is ideal but I can often do same-day if my schedule allows. For weddings, the earlier the better — peak season (June through September) Saturdays book up four to six months in advance. For corporate accounts, recurring weekly schedules can be locked in any time. For last-minute requests, just text me — I'll tell you honestly whether I can make it work.
Do you prefer text or phone calls? +
Text for new bookings — it gives both of us a written record we can refer back to. Phone for time-sensitive issues (flight delays, address changes, day-of questions). WhatsApp works for international clients booking from outside Canada. I'm one person, so I'll respond as fast as I can — usually within the hour during business hours, longer if I'm mid-ride.
How do I make changes to a booking? +
Just text me on the same thread. Pickup time changes, address changes, adding a stop — all easy if I have notice. For wedding day timing changes, text as soon as you know — I can usually accommodate without affecting the rest of your day. For airport runs, flight delays are automatic (I track them), but if you change flights or terminals, let me know.
What's your cancellation policy? +
More than 24 hours before the booking: no charge. Within 24 hours: 50% of the booking fee, because I've likely turned down other work for that time slot. Within 4 hours: full charge for airport runs, full charge for weddings (which are usually multi-hour bookings I can't fill on short notice). For corporate accounts on retainer, the monthly billing covers cancellation flexibility — we adjust at the end of the month.
Pricing & Payment
Is your pricing flat rate or hourly? +
Both, depending on the trip. Airport runs are flat rate — quoted up front based on origin and destination, no surge, no fuel surcharge, no airport surcharge. Weddings, multi-stop trips, and corporate day rates are hourly with a 3-hour minimum. Hourly rate is $95–$120 depending on day of week and time. I quote everything in writing before you confirm so there are no surprises.
What's included in the price? +
Everything you'd reasonably expect. The driver (me), the vehicle, fuel, insurance, parking at the airport, 407 tolls if I take that route, flight tracking, meet-and-greet at Pearson at no extra charge, bottled water, phone chargers (Lightning and USB-C), and reasonable wait time at pickup. What's not included: tips (standard 15–20% in Canada, at your discretion), and any tolls on routes I don't normally take (rare).
What payment methods do you accept? +
Interac e-Transfer (preferred — sent to ali@toponelimo.ca), Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and cash. For corporate accounts, monthly invoicing on a single PDF — Net 15 terms, paid by e-Transfer or corporate cheque. For weddings, a 50% deposit secures the date with the balance due on the day. For airport runs, payment is on completion or pre-paid by Interac if you prefer.
Do you expect tips? What's the standard? +
Tips are appreciated but never expected. The Canadian standard for chauffeured transport is 15–20% of the fare, tipped at the end of the ride or on the day for multi-day bookings. For corporate accounts, some clients build a standard 18% gratuity into the monthly invoice; others tip per-trip. For weddings, many families tip $50–$100 per booked hour; entirely at your discretion.
Service Specifics
Do you track flights for airport pickups? +
Yes — every airport booking includes flight tracking via the airline data feeds. If your incoming flight is delayed by 30 minutes or 6 hours, I shift the pickup time automatically. If your flight is cancelled and rebooked for the next day, I rebook the pickup at no charge. You don't have to text me to update — but if you do, I appreciate it. The Pearson GTAA pre-arranged operator registration lets me wait inside the lot legally rather than circling.
Do you do meet-and-greet inside the terminal at Pearson? +
Yes — at no extra charge. For arrivals, I park, walk inside the terminal, and meet you at the international or domestic arrivals door with a name sign if you want. I'll help with luggage and walk you to the vehicle. If you'd rather do curbside, just tell me — I'll text on arrival and meet you at the designated pre-arranged pickup zone outside Terminal 1 or Terminal 3.
Do you have child seats? Booster seats? +
Yes — child car seats and booster seats available on request, free of charge. Just tell me when you book how many, what type (rear-facing infant, forward-facing toddler, booster), and the child's age and weight. I'll have the seats installed and inspected before pickup. Ontario law requires proper child restraints for kids under 8 years or under 145 cm; I follow the law strictly even on short rides.
Is the vehicle wheelchair accessible? +
The Cadillac Escalade / Lincoln Navigator class executive SUV is not wheelchair-accessible (no ramp or lift). The vehicle has high seating and grab handles, so it works for guests with limited mobility who can transfer with assistance. For full wheelchair-accessible service, I can refer you to specialized GTA accessible transport operators. Just ask and I'll connect you.
Can you do multi-stop trips? +
Yes — multi-stop bookings work best on hourly rates with a 3-hour minimum. The vehicle stays with you between stops; wait time is included. Common patterns: dinner reservation followed by event followed by home; ceremony venue then photo location then reception; office then client meeting then airport. Tell me the full sequence when you book and I'll plan the routing.
About the Driver / Trust
Are food and drinks allowed in the vehicle? +
Bottled water and coffee with a lid — yes, no problem. Open alcohol is prohibited by Ontario law in any vehicle. Open food is fine in moderation but I appreciate it if you let me know in advance so I can bring extra napkins and have the interior fully ready. For wedding day passengers in heavy bridal attire, food usually waits until the venue. The vehicle is detailed every Friday — I keep it that way.
Who is the driver — do I get the same person each time? +
Yes. Top One Limo is owner-operated. I'm Ali Malik — I own the vehicle, I drive every booking, I'm the person you text and the person who shows up. There's no dispatch substitution, no rotating fleet driver, no last-minute swap. After two or three bookings, I know your preferences. After five, I'm part of the routine. That continuity is the whole point of choosing owner-operated over a fleet.
How does owner-operated differ from a fleet limo company? +
A fleet company runs many vehicles and many drivers under a single brand, with dispatch routing requests to whoever's available. You don't know who'll show up. Owner-operated means one driver, one vehicle, one set of standards — me. The trade-off is that I can't be in two places at once, so peak times (Saturday weddings, Friday airport rush) book up earlier. The benefit is consistency you can't get from a fleet.
What's your insurance and licensing? +
$5,000,000 commercial liability insurance through a licensed Canadian commercial auto insurer (certificate available on request). City of Toronto TPH Vehicle-for-Hire Owner Licence and TPH Driver Licence — both current and verifiable through the City of Toronto. Pearson GTAA Pre-Arranged Operator Registration for legal airport waiting. Ontario Class G driver's licence with a clean abstract — no at-fault collisions, no demerit points. For corporate compliance, I can send the certificate of insurance directly to your procurement team.
